Someone took some effort to steal this street sign. Wonder why they left it in the mud?
Has been stored inside for most of its life. The flash from the camera shows how the lettering is reflective. It also shows imperfections that aren't normally seen with the human eye.
Rolling Stone Way Street Sign, Circa 1975
A street sign found in the mud at Lee District Park off Telegraph Road near the City of Alexandria, VA in the year 1979. It came from a neigborhood built in the mid 1970's and had street names such as Flintstone Road and Rock Creek Road.
Measures 36 inches wide by 6 inches high. It is 1/10th of an inch thick and would take some serious effort to bend it.
