It is believed that these sconces are made from porcelain with brass (possibly gold) inlays. The flicker bulbs are decorative in nature and cost about $5 a piece in the year 2022. It would be impractical to attach a lamp shade. The plaques are made from pine and have been stained with a walnut stain and coated with hand rubbed polyurethane.
The sockets and pull chain mechanisms have been replaced with new ones. The cords are about 6 feet long.
Each two plug receptacle has been reconditioned and operate properly and independently from the pull chain light sockets.
The three holes seen here (one with a screw in it) are used to make attaching each sconce easier to center.
The sconces do not have any chips or pieces missing. There are no cracks or signs of damage.
The long notch on the back ensures the sconce will lie flat against the wall when attached.
